Phill and Diane, Sarah and her friends can be sponsored on the following website.
www.justgiving.com/BillingshurstChannelHoppers

They are also on Facebook under Billingshurst Channel Hoppers , and on the day we can follow them stroke by stroke on www.twitter.com/bchannelhoppers.

Thank you , it is very close to my heart.

Well Sarah and the team completed their swim across the channel. They set off at 8.45 am on Saturday and Rob started the relay with Sarah going second. We were updated every hour on their progress. When they left Dover the weather conditions were perfect, unfortunately this didn't last long and they were soon in thick fog and high winds. The team consisted of 5 people and they all had 3 x 1hour swims except for poor Rob who had a fourth swim to take them on to French Soil. He actually set foot in France at 12.45 am Sunday morning, the tide had turned and they were being taken sideways instead of forwards. It was a very emotional as well as a long tiring day, but they did it and raised £13,500 in the process. We are so proud of the achievment and hard work they put in to make this journey.

Thank you for letting me share my anxiety with you.
