Keep your fingers crossed for my daughter in law Sarah who is swimming the English Channel this weekend with 4 friends to raise money for Sussex Air Ambulance. I have been in a state all week just thinking about it. Good luck Sarah know you can do it.

The story why they are doing it is on the just giving.com web site

With age comes skills, it's called multi-tasking. I can laugh, cough, sneeze and pee all at the same time.

Chris, Sarah is going from Dover to Calais. Meridian are reporting on the swim on Saturday I believe. She has been in practice since January and a lot of the sea training has been in Brighton . Give her a wave from me Chris as we cannot get Meridian down here.

Thank you everyone for the good wishes they will need them .

Rosemary, what about the busy traffic in the channel. Have they got some sort of safety escort ?

Yes Lyn they are being escorted through the shipping lanes with a boat along side I understand . This will allow them to swim in relays.
There are photos of the boat, helicopter and team on the web site . They have just passed their target of £10,000 so we are very proud of their achievment.

What a fantastic project and a great example for all youngsters.

All the best of luck to them.
