We are with Akyenikoy Council and had to get planning permission for our 1st floor balcony to be enclosed with non-permanent materials.
Metal structure, roofed in chipboard and felt, ceiling in plastic and UPVC windows.

Originally we were told it was ok as non-permanent and no bricks involved, then when they came round fining people for their swimming pools and sheds, they said if we did not remove the windows pronto, then we would be fined.
Therefore had to get planning permission to put the windows back in and will soon have to pay SSK and get habitation as well.

Anyway, sorry Kev, your thread is really recommending a builder, so don't want to get into another planning permission thread!!!
I think there are enough of them already!!!! Everyone seems to have different experiences anyway.

Might be worth going and getting that statement in writing from the Belediye Architect though, just in case. Good Luck.

We did make 3 separate visits to the council each time they said no problem when i showed them the plans ,but you try getting something in writing ,no chance.
